PREFERENTIAL SAYS: MAKE SURE YOUR WINTER SPORTS TRAVEL INSURANCE INCLUDES COVER FOR PISTE CLOSURE

Travel agents booking winter sports holidays need to make sure that their winter sports travel insurance covers clients for piste closure, according to travel insurance specialist, Preferential.

Max Hensser, Associate Director at Preferential, comments, “Not all winter sports travel insurance includes cover for piste closure - something which can occur in a ski resort because of either too much or too little snow.  Travel agents need to make sure that they are selling the right sort of travel insurance to suit their clients’ needs.”

Hensser continues, “Likewise, as well as the more traditional ski-ing and snow-boarding, make sure that, if your clients are participating in winter sports such as cross-country ski-ing, snow-sledding or mono-ski-ing, that these are covered too, as well as the more traditional ski-ing or snow-boarding.”

Preferential’s Winter Sports travel insurance covers a variety of winter sporting activities, at no extra premium.  Winter Sports travel insurance is priced from as little as £19.20 for eight days in Europe.  Cover includes: ski equipment, ski hire, ski pack as well as piste closure and avalanche cover.
