PREFERENTIAL WINS TOP TRAVEL INSURANCE AWARD
Leading travel insurer, Preferential, has been awarded one of the insurance industry’s top honours. The company beat strong competition to win the ‘Intermediary of the Year Award’ at the prestigious ‘International Travel Insurance Journal’ (ITIJ) Awards held in Venice recently after the judges decided that Preferential’s achievements over the past years deserved to win this coveted award.
Within the travel trade, Preferential is the chosen insurance provider for many travel organisations. Their commitment to this sector is evident in their training programmes for travel agents, airline and tour operator staff throughout the UK plus their sponsorship of key industry events such as the Travel Industry Hall of Fame, and the ABTA Breakfast.
In awarding Preferential ‘Intermediary of the Year’, the judges highlighted the following main factors:
- the company’s excellent record as an employer with a very low turnover of staff at its dedicated contact centre in Southend and head offices in Dorking
- its skill at listening to its clients and developing products which suit the end-user
- its track record in sympathetic claims handling
Steve Nickerson, managing director of Preferential, comments, “I am delighted that Preferential has been recognised for this award. The competition was fierce but the panel of judges decided that the achievements of our company over the past 12 months deserved to win this coveted award.”
